The Ga Super Regional was high octane, full of excitement, with intense atmosphere! All the age groups brought out extreme talent and crowd participation from the parents made the environment electric!!! Let me just say if you are a Ballin Blazer you had to be proud of this organization taking home hardware in 4 out of the 6 divisions! Also in the high school Division the Choice Knights brought home the 1st place trophy. Coach Wiggins of Choice Knights turned things around after the Blazers jumped out early. The most exciting division had to be the 4th grade division which battled it out between the Aztecs & Vp Crossovers. Shouts out to Premier XXI (21) & Team Attack for making the finals in the 7th & 8th grade divisions playing up one class, watch out for these young teams. Also mentions to Executive III, & class of '23 Champions Chance & Team Attack.

Choice Knights 51 vs. Ballin Blazers 44

It was good to see a diversity of Freshman talent in the Championship game. You had the deep shooting Knights versus the go hard in the paint Blazers. The Blazers imposed their will in the early stages of the match up jumping out to an early lead 11-6 over the Knights, almost scoring at will in the paint. After a quick timeout though the Knights turned on the pressure & never looked back! The Knights took the lead 19-15 with 1:25 left to play in the 1st half & went on an 8 to 2 run to finish the half up 27-17.  After halftime the Knights poured it on and T. Brown & T. Claris combined to hit 4 3 pointers in the game for the Knights spreading their biggest lead to 17 points. #5 on the Blazers hit 2 3's in 2nd half to keep it close. If it wasnt for the hard nosed play of Rico Carter for the Blazers it might of been a blowout. No other Blazers could get going until the last 2 mins of the game & the Blazers eventually cut the lead down to 51-44 as the buzzer sounded.........

c/o 2018 Tyrease Brown, Choice Knights

MVP 9th Grade Division

Tyrease is a great all around player. He can shoot the 3, penetrate to the basket, & dish the ball to the big man. I look forward to hearing big things about him in his High school career, he may be small in size, but has a big heart and plays tough!

c/o 2018 Rico Carter, Ballin Blazers

All-Star Selection 9th Grade Division

Rico had 10pts in the Championship game. He is aggressive & likes to get to the basket. A beast on the boards as well, would like to see him develop his jumper to where he can be an inside outside threat.

4th Grade Division

Aztecs 37 vs. VP Crossovers 29

To say this class of 2023 has some up & coming talent is an understatement! This might have been the best division the whole tournament. I can't imagine how good some of these players will be if they continue to work on their game. In the Championship match up both teams took a different path. The Aztecs on Championship day Sunday had a hard road to get to the finals, barely beating a tough Champions Chance team by 1 point! You talk about intense! I didnt know if the Aztecs would have enough energy to compete against a very athletic VP Crossovers team who beat the Blazers team pretty easy 31-16. Well the Aztecs regrouped and it was a back & forth matchup in the finals. The Aztecs Winston Bradford who plays Power Forward could easily be a linebacker on any football team his age, has one of the best footwork I've seen from a 4th grader. Bradford dominated the entire weekend scoring 16 pts in the Championship & being named MVP of the tournament in the 4th grade division. Vp Crossovers held their own and pressed their way back into a tight game to lose by only 8, but a great effort on the part of Crossovers Jonathan Goldson who finished with 13pts and was named as an All-Star Selection to come back & play in September to the All-Star game!

MVP/All Star- 4th Grade Division

Bradford is a solid player hard to stop close to the basket, as he gets older his game will only get better, one of the most talented players in the whole tournament!

c/o 2023 Jonathan Goldson, VP Crossovers

All-Star Selection, 4th Grade Division

Goldson is an exciting young player. He can dribble coast to coast to score and doesnt mind diving on the floor for his team. Has a nice shot for his age, looking for him to continue to get better.

Blazers 42 vs. XXI Premier 31

In the 7th grade division was much like the rest, Ballin Blazers were in control for most of the game. XXI Premier's press which usually gives teams problems, just couldn't stop the Blazers speed & size. Blazers pushed their lead all the way up o 17 pts in the second half. XXI Premier would not quit fighting though. They cut the lead down to 9 with a minute left, and stayed relentless, but just was outmatched. Blazers held on to take home the 1st place hardware.

2020 Camron Carithers Ballin Blazers

MVP 7th grade Division

Camron finished with 14 pts & is a great slasher who stays all over the boards. He has a great motor and looks to be a great scorer and to have a bright future

2021 Jalen Butler XXI Premier

All Star Selection

Jalen heated up in the 2nd half hitting 2 big 3's and finished with 8 pts. Great shooter needs to get more aggressive on offense to help his team out

8th Grade Division

Ballin Blazers 53 vs. Team Attack 39

In the last game of the day in the 8th grade division, once again was the Blazers vs. Team Attack. Blazers jumped out in front early on Team Attack 21-12 with 5 mins left in the 1st half. Team Attack then went on a little run to finish the half down 28-21.

In the 2nd half it was more of the same for the Blazers, scoring layups and just out manned the competition. Blazers took a 20 point lead early in the 2nd & Team Attack was just playing catch up the rest of the game. Final score Blazers 53 Team Attack 39.

2019 Derrick Black Jr.  Ballin Blazers

MVP 8th grade Division

Derrick is an aggressive guard, especially for his size. Very smooth in his offense he lets the game come to him and doesnt force much.

He has the ball on a string & a great mid range jump shot. Plays great D, want to see him develop a pure 3 point shot.

2020 Varun Danak Team Attack

was selected to the All Star team playing up a grade he still dominates the boards standing at an easy 6'3. Varun had 14 pts in the semis & 11 pts in the finals. He has nice foot work and great hands, just needs to get stronger.
